Description

The Ashcombe quilted down puffer coat is cut and finished in shell 100% recycled polyester, fill 90% duck down 10% feather and finished in slate blue. cut in our Basildon studio and held in stock in the sizes shown.

How the coat is put together

Shell 100% recycled polyester, fill 90% duck down 10% feather. Front edges and collars are interlined so the lapel rolls instead of creasing. Shoulders are set with a sleeve head where the cloth is heavy enough to need one, so the sleeve falls clean rather than collapsing. Bodies are fully lined in a smooth woven lining with a pleat at the centre back for movement, and the lining hem is left free so it can be replaced years from now. Pockets are bagged in a hard-wearing twill and bar-tacked at both corners. Buttons are sewn with a shank so they sit through thick cloth without dragging, and every coat leaves with a spare. On down styles the quilting channels are stitched before filling so the fill cannot migrate along the panel.

Care

Down styles: machine wash cool on a down programme, tumble dry low with dryer balls until the fill is fully open. Wool capes: dry clean only.
